2019 World Championships: Women’s Day Six Bracket Breakdown (62 and 68kg)

Day five of the World Championships continues tomorrow from Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan and with it brings the last day of women’s freestyle. Two weights will be contested with two of them and both are Olympic weights. Anyone that finishes in the top five qualifies their country for the 2020 Olympics. For each day of the competition, we’ll do a bracket breakdown for the action that will take place on the following day. With tomorrow’s bracket having been released, here’s what we can expect from the last two women’s weights.

62 kg - Kayla Miracle starts her tournament in one of two Round of 64 pigtails on the bottom half of the 62 kg bracket. Her first opponent is Nabira Esenbaeva (Uzbekistan) a 2019 Asian bronze medalist. Last year Esenbaeva was a silver medalist at both the Junior World level and in Asian Juniors. She has not had the same success at the ranking tournaments, taking 11th at the Yasar Dogu and 20th at the Dan Kolov/Nikola Petrov Tournament.
