With all of the stand-alone wrestling cards popping up over the last few months, do you think that Iowa would allow the rest of the wrestling world to pass them by? Tom Brands’ Hawkeye Wrestling Club has put together an event on Sunday, November 1st, to showcase the best wrestlers in his club against a talented field. The main card features seven HWC All-Americans in action, mainly against foes who are more experienced in the freestyle and international scene. There are also a pair of women’s matches, though they do not feature anyone affiliated with the HWC. In addition to the main card, eight undercard bouts are slated, most of which are current Iowa wrestlers who may have met in wrestle-offs in a typical year. This will give Hawkeye fans the first opportunity to see highly decorated freshmen like Patrick Kennedy, Jesse Ybarra, and Bretli Reyna compete.

All of the festivities will take place through TrackWrestling with a 4pm/central start for the undercard.

Here’s a breakdown of the nine matches on the main card and predictions for each bout.
