This weekend TOM is in Campbellsville, Kentucky for the presentation of the inaugural Miranda Medal, named after Patricia Miranda, one of the pioneers of women’s wrestling in the United States. A panel of media members and past four-time WCWA champions (Helen Maroulis, Victoria Anthony, and Emily Webster) voted and selected Campbellsville’s Kayla Miracle as the recipient of the award for the 2017-18 season. We got to speak with her father and head coach Lee Miracle about such topics as the Miranda Medal, Kayla’s impending move to the Hawkeye Wrestling Club and Campbellsville’s WCWA National Championship.
