Today the first confirmed women’s match for the NWCA All-Star Classic was announced. It will feature a rematch of the WCWA Finals at 170 lbs between Brittany Marshall (Wayland Baptist) and Mariah Harris (Campbellsville). If this match is half as exciting as their championship bout, fans will be in for a treat. Harris led the match 5-4 and was attempting to hang on for the win during the matches closing seconds. Marshall pressured hard and shot a double leg, which was fended off by Harris. Undeterred, Marshall went and peeked out the opposite site and spun behind Harris for the winning takedown just before the clock expired.

Brittany is starting her senior campaign and attempting to become a four-time All-American for Wayland Baptist. She finished fourth at WCWA’s in both of her first two seasons. She was the second seed at nationals in 2017-18. Harris was the fifth-seed and had to knock off two wrestlers seeded ahead of her to make the finals, both of which had beaten her earlier in the season.

The NWCA All-Star Classic will take place on November 2nd, from Denver, Colorado.

Below are the wrestlers that the NWCA has announced will be participating in the All-Star Classic. The men’s weights are listed first, and the women’s weights are below.
