STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team picked up its second-straight league dual win and first at home with a 26-19 victory over visiting UW-Platteville on Tuesday night.

Luca Paladino (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) began the night with a 20-5 tech fall victory early in the third period at 125. Blaze Thurber (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) extended the UWSP lead to 11-0 with a second period fall.

At 149, Riese Thornberry won by major decision, 18-7. Josh Heuss (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) kept UWSP ahead with a 19-3 tech fall in the third period.

The Pointers sealed the win as Trystan Altensey (Port Byron, Ill./Riverdale) won a 7-0 decision at 184 and Logan Neitzel (Lomira, Wis./Lomira) earned a 12-5 decision victory at 197.

UWSP remains at home on Saturday (Dec. 9) with a pair of home duals against Cornell and Luther. The day's action begins at 12:00 p.m. in Quandt Fieldhouse.
