LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Taking eight of the dual's 10 bouts -- including two technical falls and two falls -- the Oregon State wrestling team emphatically broke their skid with a 34-6 win over Wyoming.

After nearly splitting the match's first six bouts, the heavier weights and Maximo Renteria (at 125) put it firmly out of reach as Oregon State (6-5, 2-2 Pac-12) collected the last 22 points for final separation.

Back-to-back tech falls from Trey Munoz (184) and Justin Rademacher (197) pushed it towards the Beavers before two pins from Boone McDermott (HWT) and Renteria sealed it.

Gabe Whisenhunt -- at 133 -- started the Beavers with a win by decision when he dispatched Garrett Ricks at 12-9. The Corvallis native fought back a late charge from his Cowboy opponent to give OSU a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

Cleveland Belton used a six-point third to pull away from Cole Brooks in the night's 141-lb. bout. Brooks couldn't hold his 3-1 lead from the second as Belton took over with a reversal and didn't look back on the way to the win.

Collecting his first win as a Beav, Ayden Garver used a takedown and a near-fall in the first on the way to a win in the 157-lb. bout. Holding a wire-to-wire advantage in it, the sides rode out the second before Garver use two escapes and a takedown to clinch it at 13-9.

Following Isaiah Crosby's setback in the 165-lb. bout, Matthew Olguin got the Beavs back in stride with a 7-3 win at decision. Grabbing an early lead at 3-0 in the first, Olguin added to it with a stalling point and escape along with the riding time to clinch it.

Munoz, making quick work, didn't even use all three frames in his sizable win. Clinching a technical fall, he raced to a 6-1 lead after one thanks to two takedowns. He ended things with an equally dominant second, finishing with a 20-1 line at 184.

Rademacher also didn't waste much time in his win by tech fall. The freshman used three takedowns and a near-fall to make his presence known in the first. He ended it in the second with two more takedowns and grabbing the riding time point at 197.

McDermott and Renteria sealed things with back-to-back wins to help secure the dual win. At heavyweight, McDermott finished off Kevin Zimmer with a takedown following a big lead. Renteria needed just one takedown to seal the bout win over Dylan Catlin.

Oregon State will conclude the regular season with one more Pac-12 dual, on the road at Stanford, next Sunday, February 18th. Action from The Farm is slated for a 2 p.m. start and can be seen on Pac-12 Networks Bay Area.
