Christian Carroll, one of the nation's top recruits in the Class of 2023, has entered the transfer portal.

The news comes just days after Carroll placed third at the U23 World Team Trials in freestyle.

Carroll, a native of Indiana, redshirted this past season at Oklahoma State, competing in only three matches early in the season at 285 pounds. Carroll was twice a member of the U20 world team, once in freestyle and once in Greco-Roman. He was a two-time Super 32 champion and Fargo freestyle champion in high school.

Prior to Oklahoma State hiring David Taylor as the program's head coach, Carroll tweeted out a photo of him being coached by Coleman Scott with text that said, "MY COACH! Loyal and true! Homegrown!"
