Ryder transferring to Oklahoma State
A few days after entering the transfer portal, Zack Ryder announced his plans.
Ryder, one of nation's top recruits from the Class of 2024, is headed to Oklahoma State.
He made the announcement Friday afternoon on Instagram.
Ryder entered the transfer portal earlier this week after one redshirt season at Penn State. He competed at 184 pounds, compiling a record of 8-0. Ryder was a champion at the Southern Scuffle.
This comes a week after Rocco Welsh, a national finalist at 184 pounds in 2024 for Ohio State, announced that he is transferring to Penn State.
Ryder was a four-time New York state champion. In addition he claimed a silver medal at the U20 World Championships last year and also won a pair of bronze medals at the U17 World Championships.
