Grand View men's head wrestling coach Nick Mitchell continues to raise the bar in NAIA men's wrestling.

Mitchell guided Grand View to its 13th national championship and did so on the strength of six national champions, breaking their own record, and advancing seven wrestlers to the national finals.

On Friday, Mitchell was named NAIA Men's Coach of the Year by The Open Mat for the third straight year.

It was another season filled with monumental achievements for the Grand View men's wrestling program. The Vikings finished a perfect 15-0 in the dual meets. Mitchell led Grand View to its 10th consecutive Heart of America title, winning the conference championship by 91 points over runner-up Missouri Valley. Six Grand View wrestlers won conference titles.

Grand View qualified all 12 wrestlers for the 2025 NAIA Men's Wrestling Championships. Of their 12 national qualifiers, nine earned All-America honors, seven reached the national finals and six won national championships. The Vikings finished with 209 team points, 60 points ahead of runner-up Life University.
