Flynn transferring to Chattanooga

Two-time NCAA qualifier Cooper Flynn is returning home.

The Tennessee native announced on Thursday that he is transferring to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for his final season of eligibility. He spent the first three years of his college career at Virginia Tech before transferring to Minnesota last year.

He shared the news on social media with the text, "Bringing it back home to where it all started. Super excited to announce I will be using my last year of eligibility at UTC!"

The announcement comes after Minnesota picked up 125-pound All-American Jore Volk via the transfer portal.

Flynn posted a 16-8 record this past season at Minnesota. He went 2-2 at the 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia. Flynn was 15-6 the previous season at Virginia Tech and went 1-2 at the 2024 NCAAs.
