NCAA qualifier Spidle signs with Northwestern

On Friday, Northwestern announced on social media that Sean Spidle has signed with the Wildcats after spending the past five seasons at Central Michigan.
Spidle pulled one of the biggest upsets in the opening round of the 2025 NCAAs, beating 2024 Big Ten champion and All-American Dylan Shawver of Rutgers.
At CMU, Spidle competed at 125 pounds for his first four seasons before moving up to 133 pounds this past season. He was a 2025 MAC runner-up. Spidle posted a 2-2 record at the 2025 NCAAs in Philadelphia.
