All-American Poulin commits to Iowa State
Iowa State has landed its second All-American via the transfer portal.
Stevo Poulin, an All-American at 125 pounds, announced on Friday that he will be transferring from Northern Colorado to Iowa State for his final season of eligibility. He becomes the second All-American to join the Iowa State wrestling program this season. Four-time All-American Rocky Elam announced his commitment to ISU in early April.
The announcement comes the same week in which Poulin's former Northern Colorado coach Troy Nickerson was hired as the head wrestling coach at Army West Point.
Poulin, a New York native, spent the past three seasons at Northern Colorado after starting his career at NC State in 2021. He reached the round of 12 in back-to-back seasons before breaking through this past season to earn All-America honors with an eighth-place finish at 125 pounds.
ISU also picked up NCAA qualifier Isaac Dean (Rider) and NJCAA national champion Melton Powe (Pratt) via the transfer portal, in addition to All-Americans Poulin and Elam.
