All-American Zerban to Iowa State
Iowa State added a second All-American from Northern Colorado to its roster in the past week.
On Monday, Vinny Zerban announced that is transferring from Northern Colorado to Iowa State. Zerban. Stevo Poulin, a 125-pound All-American for Northern Colorado this past season, announced his commitment to ISU on Friday.
The announcement comes a week after Troy Nickerson left his position as head wrestling coach at Northern Colorado to lead the Army West Point wrestling program.
Zerban is a three-time NCAA qualifier. He earned his first All-America honor this past season with a sixth-place finish at 157 pounds.
Iowa State has now added three All-Americans via this transfer portal this offseason: Zerban, Poulin and four-time All-American Rocky Elam (Missouri).
In addition, ISU added NCAA qualifier Isaac Dean (Rider) and NJCAA national champion Melton Powe (Pratt) via the transfer portal.
