Former Edinboro, Pitt wrestler Camacho joins CMU coaching staff

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan wrestling coach Ben Bennett has named Colton Camacho to a volunteer assistant coaching post.

Camacho, a Pennsylvania native, wrestled five years at Pitt and then finished his collegiate career in 2024-25 at Edinboro, where he went 27-14, placed third at 133 pounds in the Mid-American Conference Championships, and qualified for the NCAA Championships.

Camacho amassed an 81-51 career record in his six collegiate seasons. At Pitt, he was a three-year starter at 125 pounds and finished third in the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships.

Camacho was a two-time Pennsylvania state runner-up while wrestling at Franklin Regional High School.

He earned a bachelor of arts degree with a major in communications and a minor in law from Pitt and holds a certification from Edinboro in sports performance enhancement and injury prevention.
