Bassett, Miller commit to Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech landed two of the nation's top high wrestlers over the weekend.

Bo Bassett and Melvin Miller, both of Bishop McCort High School in Pennsylvania, announced on Saturday that they will be future Hokies.

Bassett is the nation's No. 2 senior recruit, while Miller is the No. 1-ranked high school junior wrestler in the country.

Bassett first committed to Iowa in February before reopening his commitment in late June.

He has won multiple age group world medals, including a U17 world title and U20 bronze medal. Bassett is also a two-time Pennsylvania state champion, three-time Super 32 titlist and Fargo champion.

Miller, like Bassett, has won a pair of Pennsylvania state titles. In addition, he is a multiple-time Fargo champion and Super 32 Challenge champion. Miller placed fifth at the 2024 U17 World Championships.
