Iowa has found its 165-pounder after the graduation of four-time All-American Michael Caliendo.

Carter Schubert announced that he is transferring to Iowa. He started his career at California before spending the past two seasons at Oklahoma.

Schubert reached the round of 12 at 174 pounds this past season at the 2026 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Cleveland. He won a title at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in December.
