Iowa State signs Arizona standout Perez
Iowa State women's wrestling continues to add high-level talent to its roster, most recently signing Arizona standout Brooklyn Perez, head coach Alli St. John announced Thursday.
She initially committed to William Penn University.
Perez, a product of Valiant College Prep in Phoenix, brings an impressive resume to Ames. She placed third at the 2026 Girls High School Showcase in Las Vegas and finished sixth at the U20 World Team Trials earlier this year.
She is also a two-time Super 32 placer, earning fourth place in 2025 and fifth place in 2023. In addition, Perez became a Junior Nationals All-American in 2025 after placing eighth at Fargo.
Perez joins a growing list of additions for the Cyclones this offseason. Campbellsville transfer Makennah Craft recently announced on Instagram that she will continue her career at Iowa State. The Cyclones have also landed recent commitments from Piper Fowler and Christianah Ogunsanya, both NAIA national champions who transferred from William Penn.
