The University of Sioux Falls has named Jayleen Sekona as assistant women's wrestling coach, head coach Griffin Osing announced.

Sekona comes to Sioux Falls after a decorated career at Colorado Mesa University, where she established herself as one of the top women's wrestlers in the NCAA. A four-time NCAA All-American, Sekona balanced her competitive career with a variety of leadership and administrative roles within the Colorado Mesa athletic department, contributing to day-to-day operations, compliance monitoring, sponsorship communication and event operations. She also served in admissions and student housing roles focused on student engagement.

Beyond her work at Colorado Mesa, Sekona has demonstrated a commitment to growing women's wrestling at the grassroots level. She founded Sekona's Summer Youth Wrestling Camp in Palmer, Alaska, organizing sponsorships, logistics and daily coaching instruction, and helped lead the Grow Women's Wrestling Camp in Wyoming and Alaska.

Sekona is completing her degree in sport management at Colorado Mesa with a minor in athletic coaching and officiating.
