Four-time national finalist Foeller joins Wartburg staff

Wartburg College has added a four-time national finalist to its women's wrestling coaching staff, hiring Jaycee Foeller as an assistant coach for the Knights.

Foeller closes out a decorated collegiate career that spanned three programs. She burst onto the scene as a freshman at McKendree in 2022, placing as the NCWWC national runner-up at 191 pounds. After a coaching change at McKendree, she transferred to Central Methodist for the 2022-23 season and again reached a national finals, finishing as the NAIA runner-up at 191 pounds.

Foeller landed at Iowa for the 2023-24 season, initially expecting to redshirt under NCAA transfer rules before a late rule change allowed her to compete immediately. The timing proved pivotal. Wrestling unattached leading up to it, she was cleared to wrestle for the Hawkeyes just days before delivering the deciding point in a 21-20 win over North Central at the NWCA National Duals.

She went on to place as the NCWWC national runner-up at 191 pounds in 2024, then moved up to 207 pounds in 2025 and again finished as the national runner-up. Foeller compiled a 15-6 record for the Hawkeyes this past season but did not compete in the postseason.

Foeller now transitions to the college coaching ranks at Wartburg, joining head coach Brady Kyner's staff. The Knights won the inaugural NCAA Division III NWCA National Duals title this past January and finished 11th at the inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships.
