Stanford wrestling has named Myles Amine as an assistant coach, head coach Chris Ayres announced.

Amine brings one of the most decorated international resumes of any coach in college wrestling. Competing for San Marino, he won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games at 86 kilograms in freestyle -- delivering San Marino its first Olympic wrestling medal in history -- and returned to the Olympic stage at the 2024 Paris Games, placing fifth. He also won a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade and claimed a European Championships title in 2022.

At Michigan, Amine made NCAA history as the first five-time All-American in NCAA Championships history, earning honors in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022, capped by a runner-up finish at 184 pounds in 2022. A two-time Big Ten champion in 2021 and 2022, Amine was named Co-Big Ten Wrestler of the Championships in 2022 and compiled a 125-23 career record, ranking 13th in program history in wins. He helped lead the Wolverines to the 2022 Big Ten team title and was a two-time Academic All-American.

Amine replaces Hayden Hidlay, who spent two seasons on the Cardinal staff before returning to his alma mater, NC State, as an assistant coach.
