Lock Haven adds Pinto to coaching staff
Lock Haven's wrestling program announced Tuesday via social media that it has hired Lenny Pinto as an assistant coach, adding him to head coach Scott Moore's staff.
Pinto most recently competed for Rutgers in 2025-26 after transferring from Nebraska, where he wrestled from 2021 through 2025. He is a four-time NCAA qualifier, a Big Ten finalist and a two-time round of 12 finisher at the NCAA Championships.
A Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania native, Pinto won a Pennsylvania state title in high school before qualifying for NCAAs three straight years at Nebraska (2023-25), where he racked up 70 career wins. His best season came in 2024-25 at 174 pounds, when he went 24-7, finished as Big Ten runner-up and reached the round of 12 at nationals as Nebraska claimed a program-best runner-up finish at the NCAA team championships.
After entering the transfer portal, Pinto spent his final season at Rutgers, going 14-12 overall, winning the 174-pound title at the Keystone Classic and qualifying for his fourth and final NCAA Championships in March 2026 -- giving him a second career trip to the round of 12.
