Otterbein University has hired Olivia Shore as associate head coach of women's wrestling, the school announced. Shore becomes the second head coach in program history as the Cardinals enter their third varsity season this fall.

Shore just wrapped one of the most decorated careers in the sport. A two-time NCWWC national champion, she won the 103-pound title in 2025 as Otterbein's first-ever national champion in the program's inaugural season and finished her career with a 24-1 record and 16 falls.

Her résumé runs deeper than her college career. Shore wrestled at Miami East High School in Ohio, where she became the only female in history to place at the OHSAA Boys State Tournament -- a distinction that can never be repeated now that Ohio sanctions girls' wrestling as its own sport. She also runs the Shore Wrestling Club, an all-female training program, giving her coaching experience to go along with her competitive credentials.

Shore will work alongside director of wrestling Brent Rastetter as she transitions from the mat to the coaching staff. Otterbein women's wrestling opens its third varsity season in early November.
